What is Yoga Therapy?
IAYT defines Yoga therapy as the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the philosophy and practice of Yoga. Yoga Therapy can be preventative or curative and also serve a means to manage the illness, or facilitate healing at all levels.
What to expect?
I will prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit your personal and individual needs. Yoga therapy is rapidly becoming among the most effective complementary therapies for several common ailments. I can help with your challenges related to sciatica, lower back (lumbar) pain , hip pain, or knee pain so you can gain flexibility and mobility and live a fuller, more productive life. Whether it be an illness (heart disease, cancer, arthritis) or a temporary condition like pregnancy or childbirth, yoga therapy can help you.
Why try Yoga therapy?
Yoga therapy is a holistic healing art, an invitation to deepen presence and awareness. It helps with chronic pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances and illness. By using age-old yogic approaches we can know ourselves more deeply. In turn, we are more easily moved to embrace the opportunity for change, growth, and enhanced well-being in body, feelings, thought, and spirit.
